The biggest numbers of cases are still in North America. Mexico has reported 25 deaths and another 590 confirmed infections. The US has confirmed over 280 cases with one death. Canada has 140 cases. In other parts of the world, there are 54 confirmed cases in Spain, 18 in Britain, 8 in Germany, 6 in New Zealand, 4 each in Israel and France, and 2 each in Italy and El Salvador. There has also been one confirmed case in Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, Ireland, Portugal, Colombia, Costa Rica, South Korea, and China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The South Korean Health Ministry has confirmed a 44-year-old woman as the country's second case of the A/H-1-N-1 virus. The nun lived with the nation's first victim of the virus who was also a nun. It is believed she was infected after she met with the first patient who returned from Mexico last week.
