Guatemala's Health Minister confirms an 11-year-old girl, recently back from Mexico, has the A/H1N1 virus. She's being treated at a hospital in Guatemala City.
Celso Cerezo, Guatemala's Health Minister, said, "A positive case of influenza A/H1N1 has been found in Guatemala. It is the first case confirmed technically and scientifically in Atlanta by the CDC(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)."
He says samples from two other suspected cases have been sent to the CDC for testing.
