Quarantined people show no flu symptoms

Wednesday was the sixth day of a week-long quarantine for people who are at risk of infection by influenza A/H1N1. Health authorities say NONE of the quarantined people, including some foreigners, are showing any virus-related symptoms. Many of them will be released from quarantine on Thursday as scheduled.

A hotel guest who were under forced quarantine in day 6th,  looks through the window of the Metropark Hotel after police  sealed off the area in Hong Kong Wednesday, May 6, 2009. A  chartered flight departed Hong Kong for Mexico City early  Wednesday after picking up Mexicans who were quarantined  across China amid swine flu fears. The AeroMexico plane  also stopped in Shanghai, Beijing and the southern city  Guangzhou.

Taking lessons from the SARS outbreak, China is taking swift action this time to keep the A/H1N1 virus at bay.

Travelers who took the same flight as a Mexican man later confirmed to have the flu virus have been quarantined in Shanghai. None of them have shown any flu symptoms. Their close relatives who are required to stay at home are also in good health.
