Mexico, the most affected country, appeared to return to normal on Friday.

Restaurants, cinemas, bars and businesses re-opened and students returned to high schools and universities for the first time in two weeks. All were shut following the outbreak of the virus.

But, as cities and communities resumed their daily routine, Mexico confirmed one more death from the a/H1N1 flu, bringing the death toll in the country to 45.

So far, over one thousand people have been affected by the virus.

Cases of the A/H1N1 flu in the United States have increased to 1,639 in 43 states.
