President Hu Jintao has called for responsible agencies to be on high alert to minimize the spreading of A/ H1N1 flu in the country. His statements came after a Chinese student from the US was confirmed to be infected by the new virus.

Hu Jintao called for a quick response to any emergencies, and an effective nation-wide prevention system to help prevent the spread of the flu in China, to ensure people's health.
