BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- The following is a biographical sketch of Zhang Rongming, who was elected vice-chairwoman of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Thursday:
Zhang Rongming
Female, born in June 1944, of Han ethnic group, native of Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province.
Vice-chairwoman of the 11th CPPCC National Committee, first vice-chairwoman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA), and vice-president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
1961-1968 Studying at Radio Department of the Beijing University of Technology
1968-1984 Working at several factories in Liaoyang City of Liaoning Province
1984-1985 Deputy head of the Wensheng District of Liaoyang City
1985-1993 Vice-mayor of Liaoyang City
1993-1997 Vice-governor of Liaoning Province
1997-2001 Vice-president of CDNCA Central Committee, vice-governor of Liaoning Province
2001-2003 Vice-president of CDNCA Central Committee
2003-2007 Executive vice-chairwoman of CDNCA Central Committee and vice-president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions
2007- First vice-chairwoman of CDNCA Central Committee and vice-president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions
