In a military contest dubbed "love the army and be proficient in military skills" staged by the Chengdu Military Area Command on July 19, the first test and assessment system for the vehicle-ship-engineering-antichemical equipment support specialty debuted and was put into operation, making a pleasant focus of attention. One can see thousands of groups of data collected by the transducer were automatically turned into assessment results along with the progress of the contest. In other words, the armament support contest has got an "electronic examiner".
On the site of rapid maintenance competition of a new-type truck, the reporters noticed that every movement of each participant was transmitted and stored in computer terminal by the transducer that was on real-time monitoring, and then the marks given by the referees were automatically recorded in the assessment system by means of wireless transmission. As soon as the competition wrapped up, the assessment scores were showed on the electronic screen. The test and assessment system for the vehicle-ship-engineering-antichemical equipment support specialty has been brought into being after incorporating a number of subsystems and upgrading, which integrates the various functions of organization and command, real-time monitoring, score assessment and information inquiry.
The test and assessment are an important link in checking the troops' military training. At the beginning of this year, the Vehicle, Ship, Engineering and Anti-Chemical Division of the Armament Department of the Chengdu Military Area Command built a test and assessment platform for equipment support covering vehicle, engineering and anti-chemical specialties, on the basis of network technologies. It has also improved and bettered the video monitoring system, score generation system and field LAN, enabling the assessment to realize automatic collection, real-time transmission and intelligent information processing.
