Looking back on its nearly 50 splendid years of aerobatics performances, the August 1 Aerobatics Team of the PLA Air Force urges its officers and men to keep firmly in mind the great trust of the motherland and the people and fulfill their aerobatics show mission without the slightest danger of anything going wrong.

Established in 1962,the August 1 Aerobatics Team has so far given over several hundred aerobatics shows to 320 delegations from 100-odd countries and regions, with a successful rate of 100%. This achievement is unique in the world's aviation history. It participated in the National Day military parade twice and was the first to fly over Tian'anmen Square. It has also joined China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai for three times.

In its Honor Room, 361 photos on exhibition have recorded its 45 years' track of journey as an aerobatics team. According to Deng Qi, commander of the aerobatics team, his team now dares to perform aerial stunts along with world-class aerobatics teams from Russia, Canada and the U.K. to thrill spectators with breath-taking "aerial ballet".

On exhibition, there are also several dozen visitors' books, 100-odd precious badges and models of several generations of aircraft the team used, vividly reproducing the pace of development of the team in different historic periods. The officers and men, who have been educated and inspired by the history of their team, are full of confidence for China's aviation industry and the building of the PLA Air Force, and they have expressed their determination to drill hard to master flying skills so as to be excellent honor guards in the air and add to the prowess of China and the PLA.
