Namibia is the youngest nation in Africa. The country gained its independence from South Africa´s colonial rule in 1990. To help its people overcome almost a century of racial hatred and mistrust, the Namibian government adopted a policy of National Reconciliation shortly after independence. For over a decade, Namibia has enjoyed political stability and economic development.
A CCTV crew recently visited the country to take an inside look at this young, but dynamic African country. And starting today, we will run an eight-part series on Namibia. We begin with how its national reconciliation policy brought about social harmony in the country.
