Special Report: Cultural Heritage DayChina Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition sponsored by China's Ministry of Culture and organized by China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center will open for free from June 14, learnt from the MOC.
The Exhibition launched at the China Millennium Monument on June 8 includes five thematic exhibitions of woodblock New Year pictures, Chinese shadow, puppet and dyeing & weaving, which are the representatives of Chinese traditional folk arts.
The ten-day Exhibition is one of the important serial activities of the second "Cultural Heritage Day".
Vice Minister of the MOC Zhou Heping said that all the exhibitions are of distinguished features and they seldom can be seen in Beijing. Such exhibition may facilitate the popularization of historical cultural knowledge and the enhancement of the public's ICH protection awareness.
The MOC officer disclosed that to further popularize historical cultural knowledge and enhance ICH protection awareness, the MOC and China ICH Protection Center decided to exempt ticket fees from June 14.
