The purported nuclear test by the Democratic People´s Republic of Korea continues to dominate the headlines. The presidents of China and the US have exchanged views on the test by phone.
China resolutely opposes DPRK´s nuclear test
China is resolutely opposed to the nuclear test by the Democratic People´s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement Monday. According to a report by the official Korean Central News Agency, DPRK conducted a nuclear test Monday.

On 9 October, the Democratic People´s Republic of Korea flagrantly conducted a nuclear test in disregard of the common opposition of the international community. The Chinese Government is firmly opposed to this act.
