White Paper 2006: China holds 16 military exercises with 11 countries
Since 2002, China has held 16 joint military exercises with 11 countries. China has established military ties with over 150 countries and military attache offices in 107 countries, says the White Paper titled "China´s National Defense in 2006."
Major joint anti-terror military drill, exercises
Aug.2007 - SCO joint anti-terrorism drill "Peace Mission 2007"
About 4,000 troops and 80 aircraft from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are participating in the joint exercises.
Jul.2007 - China, Thailand combined training of special troops "Strike-2007"
China and Thailand started their first-ever combined training of special troops in Guangzhou.
May 2007 - Multilateral exercise sponsored by the Western Pacific Naval Symposium
More than 20 warships from 12 countries are expected to join the six-day exercise. The war games are being sponsored by the Western Pacific Naval Symposium. China is a founding member.

Dec.2006 - China-Pakistan military exercises "Friendship-2006"
Around 200 troops from the PLA are in Pakistan for joint military exercises. 2 years after their last drill, the two sides plan to focus on sharing knowledge in fighting terrorism.
Nov.2006 - China, U.S. search-and-rescue drill
The exercise involved China´s guided missile destroyer "Zhanjiang," fuel tanker "Dongting Lake," the USS Juneau (LPD 10) and the USS missile destroyer Fitzgerald. China´s Yun-7 transport plane and the U.S. P-3C patrol plane also participated in the exercise.
