On May 17, at the National Zoological Museum, a 3-meter high Asian elephant specimen is standing to the left of the entrance and a 24-meter long blue whale skeleton specimen sticks out high in the front. Additionally, the South China Tiger and Yangtze River Dolphin are exhibited in the Endangered Animal Exhibition Hall.
Huang Chengming, director of the museum, said that out of the 5,000-plus specimens, endangered animals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, shells and various kinds of invertebrates are included. Huang also said of the “galloisiana sinensis”, there is only one specimen in China. He noted that at present, the National Animal Museum is under preparation and is scheduled to be formally open for business on July 1.

Introduction to the National Zoological Museum
The National Zoological Museum has three floors in total, including 1 mobile exhibition hall, 9 permanent exhibition halls and 1 4D dynamic theater, showing rare and endangered mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and other kinds of animals.

Opening hours: 9 am to 4 pm from Tuesday to Sunday starting July 1.
Ticket price: 40 yuan for adults, 40 yuan per person for the 4D theater, with discounts for group visits and students.
