60,000 free copies of tourism promotion handbooks distributed to residents

On August 28, the distributing ceremony for the 2009 Chaoyang District Tourism Promotion Handbook (hereafter the promotion handbook) was held at Wangjing’s Community Culture Square. Before August 31, 60,000 free copies of the promotion handbook totaling over 250 million yuan were distributed to community residents in Chaoyang District.

Chaoyang District distributed 250 million yuan  worth of tourism vouchers free of charge

This promotion handbook covers relevant sectors including 56 travel agencies, scenic areas, hotels and resorts, sightseeing and leisure, catering, tourism commerce, tourism consultation services, as well as 71 preferential measures were introduced. It is expected that the move will stimulate direct consumption totaling over one billion yuan. Several citizens can share one copy of the handbook as it is convenient to use discount vouchers within each copy separately. And most of the vouchers can be used as cash.

Reporters learned that Chaoyang tourism vouchers were handed out between August 28 and 31. For convenience, residents in Chaoyang District could receive discount vouchers directly in their communities. Procedures like online confirmation and ID registration were not needed. The vouchers will be valid between September 1 and December 31 this year.
