The newborn panda 38 days ago when she weighed just 51 grams. Staff at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base have named her "51 Grams" accordingly. Now the weight of "51 Grams" has increased to 1,289 grams. Zhang Zhihe, an expert at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base said, "This indicates the panda has survived the most dangerous period."
