The spot is situated on a steep cliff 9 kilometers north of Alihe Town, Elunchun Autonomous Banner. Gaxiandong is a natural cave with a rectangular shape. With a length fromsouth to north of 92 meters and a width from theeast to the west of 27-28 meters the cave, which is over 20 meters high, can hold one thousand people. On the west side of thecliff 15 meters from the entrance, there is a congratulatory inscription engraved when the emperor of the Northern Wei Dynastysent people to worship his ancestors. Under the lichen, the wording remains clear after enduring 1,500 years of winds and waves.
Traffic: Gaxiandong is 448 kilometers from Hailar, people can taketrain to Alihe Town first and then transfer to a mini-bus to get there.
