1st Yarlung Zampo Canyon Hiking Rally to be held in Tibet

　　BEIJING, Sep. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- The First Yarlung Zampo Canyon Hiking Rally will be held in Nyingchi Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, from Oct. 15 to 20.

　　Main activities of the event will be held in the town of Pai, Mainling County, Nyingchi Prefecture.

　　There will be three routes for hiking: the four-day Pai-Medog route, the three-day route from Pai to the sightseeing stand of Nanmche Barwa Mountain, and the three-day route from Pai to Zhibai, according to the organizer of the event.

　　The three routes cover the major scenic spots in eastern Tibet, including the great canyon of Yarlung Zampo, the Nanmche Barwa Mountain, the Lagya Badong waterfalls, and Medog County -- the only roadless county in China.
