BEIJING, Sept. 25 -- Nyingchi Prefecture in southeastern Tibet earned 600 million yuan tourism in the first eight months of this year, according to the Nyingchi Tourism Bureau.
During that period, the prefecture received 806,700 domestic and foreign tourists, said Wang Jun, director of the bureau.

Up to now, Nyingchi has recommended a group of scenic spots such as the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, Basum Lake, Klu gling, Midui Glacier, Nanyi Gully Folk Culture Garden, Yigong National Geological Park, and as well as some featured travel routes for peach blossom, forests and red leaves.

A compound travel zone will be built within five years to offer tourists services like traveling, relaxing, expedition, photograph, drifting, hiking, self-driving and skiing.
Nyingchi has China‘s most beautiful canyon, the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon; the country‘s most wonderful peak, the Namjiagbarwa peak; China‘s most fantastic waterfall, the Padong Waterfall in east Tibet and the country‘s most splendid glacier, the Midui Glacier.
