指挥家：水蓝

　　CCTV.com消息：水蓝出生在中国杭州，5岁开始学习小提琴。他 先后毕业于北京中央音乐学院和波士顿大学，曾师从徐新、黄飞立和马克思?鲁道夫等导师。

　　1985年5月，水蓝在北京指挥中央乐团开始了他的职业指挥生涯，两个月后，他成为北京交响乐团的指挥。之后，他成功地指挥了许多当代音乐作品，并录制了伯恩斯坦、艾尔加、胡梅尔、莫扎特、罗西尼以及谭盾和陈怡等中外作曲家的作品，受到评论界好评。

　　1990年，水蓝被洛杉矶爱乐夏季音乐节选作指挥。在好莱坞圆形剧场和乔伊斯音乐厅，他六次指挥了洛杉矶爱乐学会管弦乐团的音乐会，引起巴尔的摩交响乐团音乐总监大卫?金曼的注意，1992年9月，巴尔的摩交响乐团邀水蓝出任指挥。1994－1997年间，他是底特律交响乐团的助理指挥和底特律城市交响乐团的音乐总监，并从众多候选人中脱颖而出，于1993－1995年，成为库尔特?马祖尔在纽约爱乐乐团的替补指挥。1995年，水蓝参加“布莱兹青年指挥家计划”，在巴黎指挥了克利夫兰交响乐团。

　　水蓝曾指挥过的乐团包括巴尔的摩交响乐团、洛杉矶爱乐学会管弦乐团、休斯顿交响乐团、底特律交响乐团、明尼苏达交响乐团、罗彻斯特爱乐乐团、布法罗爱乐乐团、科罗拉多交响乐团、佛罗里达管弦乐团、哥德堡交响乐团、冰岛交响乐团以及欧洲、亚洲的许多其他交响乐团。他还曾在坦格尔伍德音乐节、阿斯品音乐节、“喝彩科罗拉多”音乐节和美国“圆顶”音乐节上担任指挥。1997年1月，水蓝开始出任新加坡交响乐团的音乐总监。

　　水蓝获得过许多国际奖项，其中包括在纽约齐尔品协会和法国第37届贝桑松指挥大赛上获得荣誉。

　　水蓝还与斯堪的那维亚的BIS录音公司合作录制唱片，已录制的曲目有和马尔莫交响乐团合作的阿诺德、辛德米特和菲恩斯托姆的作品以及指挥新加坡交响乐团录制的亚历山大?齐尔品的交响曲全集。同新加坡交响乐团录制发行的唱片还有简?雅尔夫列普为打击乐和管弦乐队所作的《垃圾交响曲》、立陶宛作曲家伊曼兹?卡尔宁斯的《岩石交响曲》、盛宗亮的管弦乐作品和刚刚发行的一张以《歌剧中的魔笛手》命名的单簧管协奏曲。

　　Lan Shui Conductor

　　Lan Shui began his tenure as Music Director of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in January 1997. Born in Hangzhou, China, he began studies on the violin at the age of five. In May 1985, Shui made his professional conducting debut with the Central Philharmonic Orchestra in Beijing. Two months later, he became the conductor of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra. His tenure then included highly-acclaimed performances of contemporary music and also many recordings of the music of Bernstein, Elgar, Hummel, Mozart, Rossini, Shostakovich, and Wagner, as well as such Chinese composers as Tan Dun and Chen Yi etc.

　　In 1990, Shui was selected by the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Summer Festival as the only conducting fellow. He conducted six concerts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute Orchestra at both Hollywood Bowl and Royce Hall, which brought him to the attention of Maestro David Zinman, Music Director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. In September 1992, Shui was invited to join the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as Conducting Affiliate. From 1994 to 1997, he was Associate Conductor of the Detroit Symphony and Music Director of the Detroit Civic Orchestra and he had also been selected from a large number of candidates to be the cover conductor for Kurt Masur and the New York Philharmonic from 1993 to 1995. In 1995, Shui also conducted the Cleveland Orchestra in Paris as a participant in the Boulez Young Conductors Project (the only conductor invited from the United States).

　　The list of the orchestras Shui has conducted is long, including the Baltimore Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Houston Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, Buffalo Philharmonic, Colorado Symphony, Florida Orchestra, Gothenburg Symphony, Alborg Symphony, Gävle Symphony, Malmö Symphony, Iceland Symphony, and other orchestras from both Europe and Asia. He has also appeared in Tanglewood Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Bravo Colorado Festival, and Round Top Music Festival (United States).

　　Shui is the recipient of several international awards, amongst them kudos from the Beijing Arts Festival, New York Tcherepnin Society, and the 37th Besancon Conductors Competition in France.

　　Shui currently records on the Scandinavian label BIS. Recordings include the music of Arnold, Hindemith, Fernstrom with the Malmö Symphony and the complete symphonies of Alexander Tcherepnin with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Other releases with the Singapore Symphony include Jan Järvlepp’s Garbage Concerto (for percussion and orchestra), the Rock Symphony by Lithuanian composer Imants Kalnins and a disc of orchestral music by Bright Sheng. “The Pied Piper of the Opera”, a disc of virtuoso clarinet music with orchestra, has just been released.

　　Lan Shui is a graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and Boston University. His Teachers include Professor Xu Xing, Huang Feili and Max Rudolf.
