The Alps are among our planet's youngest mountains. A crescent of bizarre rocks and jagged peaks ranges from Nice in Southern France to as far as Vienna. The world's most famous mountains have always inspired those who gaze on them.
To walk through the Alps is to take a journey into long forgotten times. These powerful rock formations were moved and molded by inconceivable forces millions of years ago. The magnificent peaks that we see today are only the remnant of their ancient glory.
