Besides Together, Chen Kaige also receive a three-film tribute with Farewell My Contribute and Yellow Earth.
This special event highlights the fact that China's contributions to the international film community have been more widely recognized as some filmmakers start to meet with international acclaim.
"For the first time in our 25-year history, we are shining the spotlight on China, a country that has become an increasingly important contributor to the film world," remarked Encore International and SARFT for making this extraordinary event possible through their mutual efforts. Encore International is the only foreign company with a daily, branded block of international programming seen on China Central Television.
Starz Denver international Film Festival is the award-winning flagship program of the Denver Film Society and has been showcasing the best of world cinema since 1977. This year the festival will showcase 150 films from around the world to celebrate this special silver anniversary.
