Beginning from October 30, CCTV-1 aired a ten-episode series to mark the approaching CPC Congress.
Entitled "Stride into the New Era," the documentary examines the theoretical innovations related to the opening up and reform strategies of the past few years, and demonstrates the achievements in the area of social morality, foreign affairs, national defense, the reunification of the country and the Party construction.
 The series, which took more than ten months to complete, is the product of a team of excellent documentary professionals as well as a number of experts in various fields. During the production process, the crew traveled across 20 provinces, autonomous regions and metropolitan cities and talked with more than 60 people ranging from high-ranking government officials to common people, as an endeavor to present a high-quality series dedicated to the 16th National Congress of the CPC.
