CPPCC focus on high-tech development

The National Committee of the CPPCC held a meeting on Monday focused on paying more attention to China's high-tech development.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC, presided over the meeting. He stressed that all members and organizations of the CPPCC should be aware of the importance of modern technology. Space experts also reported on China's current situation in space technology.

Jia Qinglin called on the members to keep up with the rapid development, and to contribute to the development of China's science and technology.
