Chinese movie fans with a yearning for French films won't have to look far. This year's French Film Festival in China will be held from April 7th to 17th in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu and Wuhan. 12 French films of various genres will be shown with Chinese subtitles.
Unifrance, an organization promoting French cinema worldwide, is co-sponsoring the festival with the French Embassy in Beijing. A representative from Unifrance says it's an opportunity to promote exchanges between movie directors and producers of the two countries. Meanwhile, the president of Unifrance, Margaret Menegoz, is scheduled to soon lead a French film delegation to China.
