China wins first gold in Turin

China has won its first gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Turin. Speed skater Wang Meng whizzed home in the women's 500-meter short track speed skating event on Wednesday, finishing in 44 point 3-4-5 seconds. This is only China's third winter Olympic gold, after Yang Yang clinched two at the Salt Lake City Games in 2002.
