China: Engineers to stay

China has announced it will not evacuate engineers and technicians from Pakistan, following Wednesday's shooting deaths of three Chinese engineers. But China's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Qin Gang, has advised Chinese living in Pakistan to be alert and take effective measures to protect themselves. He said: "I don't think all of the Chinese citizens in Pakistan should return home because of what happened, because there are too many of them working, studying, and living in Pakistan right now. But we have made proposals to Pakistan's government numerous times, urging measures to be taken to ensure Chinese citizens' safety in Pakistan."
