Pakistani president in China

In Beijing, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has started a five-day state visit to China. His trip is expected to be used to unveil a series of events celebrating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Musharraf arrived in the capital on Sunday afternoon. He will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao and other senior leaders, in addition to attending a ceremony to mark the publication of his biography in Beijing. A trip to the southwest province of Sichuan, the hometown of giant pandas, is also on the agenda.
