The Chinese mainland welcomed Taiwan farmers and businesses to join in cross-straits agricultural cooperation pilot zones.

It also promised to simplify procedures to import crop seeds as well as many marine and timber species from Taiwan.

Finally, the mainland pledged to protect the intellectual property rights of Taiwan products, and encouraged companies on the island to register trademarks in the mainland.
