Near 300 Taiwan delegates for Cross-strait forum, beyond expectations

Chang Jung-Kung, official KMT Policy Committee, said, "We initially set the number of Taiwan participants at about 150. But the actual total is near 300."

Chang Jung Kung adds the Forum discussions are more detailed and this year the topics of culture and education have been included.

Chang Jung Kung said, "More than 40 scholars from Taiwan have also signed up for the Forum. Among them are over ten retired or incumbent presidents from colleges and universities in Taiwan."

Chang also says the Taiwan delegates come from a wider variety of sectors.

About 40 to 50 participants are from industry, associations, and unions.
