Winter deepens in China

In the south, Hunan province is experiencing its heaviest and longest snowfall in five years. The freezing temperatures have created dangerous conditions on at least ten expressways. 7-hundred tons of industrial salt is being used to solve the problem.

Freezing temperatures are creating havoc on icy roads, and bringing inconvenience to residents.

In Guangxi, temperatures have stayed below zero bringing inconvenience to farming and agriculture.

The Central Observatory is predicting that more heavy snow and rain will arrive over large areas of China on Friday, and throughout the weekend.
