Medicine & medical equipment badly needed for quake zone

This is the only hospital that has returned to normal since the earthquake in Dujiangyan. Over 20,000 patients have been treated here, and the hospital says the workload is three or four times heavier than usual.

Han Zhufeng, Vice Director of Medical Service Center of Dujiangyan said "We have plenty of medicine from donations, but they're for common diseases and people injured in the quake. But after the quake, as an increasing number of people return, people with chronic disease and special diseases have also increased, and medicine and materials for these people is needed."

As more people return to the quake zone, the hospital is receiving between 300 and to 400 patients every day. The services to the patients are free. More medicine is needed to further treat the patients, and medicine for chronic diseases is badly needed.
