Paralympic torch relay concludes in Nanjing, Qingdao

On the same day, the relay kicked off in Qingdao, along the Modern China route.

70 torchbearers carried the flame for more than four kilometers in Qingdao, a co-host city for both the Olympics and the Paralympics.

Located in eastern China, Qingdao boasts a picturesque seaside. And the coastal city made full use of this feature by arranging five torchbearers to participate in a one-kilometer-long relay on the sea.

As with the Olympics, Qingdao will host the sailing events for the Paralympic Games.

The flame will travel through the cities of Luoyang and Dalian before arriving in Beijing on Friday.
