Shenzhou 7 draws global attention

British media are also putting the launch of Shenzhou-7 under the spotlight. In the first half of September, the British Broadcasting Corporation published three articles on its web site, giving details about the launch date and the astronauts.

Russia's "Space News" is the country's only monthly magazine dedicated to aerospace. Its chief editor says China's space program is developing in a very good direction. He says all of China's space achievements have gained respect and recognition. He also says the space walk by one of the astronauts aboard Shenzhou-7 will represent remarkable progress.
The launch has also caught the attention of other major media outlets in Russia. Some gave praise to China for completing a manned space program on its own.
