Liu Junlin, secretary of CPC Dujiangyan Committee, said, "We plan to build more than 4 million square meters of new housing for the quake victims. Half of it is already done. Before the end of 2009, most of the victims should move into new homes. We'll try our best not to leave them in temporary homes for another winter. "
About 70 percent of residences in Dujiangyan were destroyed during the Wenchuan earthquake. Several hundred lucky survivors will be able to move into their new homes before Spring Festival begins on January 26th.
