Tibetan people make good new year wishes

Cering Doje, a hotel waiter, said, "I have found that my knowledge was not enough to deal with my work during the past year. As a hotel employee, i will learn more relevant knowledge and provide better service to our guest."

People also have good wishes for their family members, relatives and friends.

Gesang Yanggim, a Lhasa resident, said, " A new year has come. I wish my parents good health. I want to give my special blessings to my mum, I hope she will be happier and have more smiles in the New Year."

Purchi, a tibetan student, said, " I wish my friends all around me a happy new year. I will keep my fingers crossed for their dreams to be realized, I hope my sister will get a good job as soon as possible."

People from other ethnic groups also give their best regards to their Tibetan friends.

He Chuan, a tourist, said, " I am very happy to come to Lhasa on this occasion, I have some Tibetan friends here. I am excited to share the joy of the Tibetan Spring Festival with them, I wish them all the best."

According to the Tibetan tradition, Tibetan people should have a family reunion dinner at home on the first day of their Tibetan New Year.
