He says the emancipation of the serfs fits the principle of Buddhism, which advocates relief from suffering.

"Abolishing the system combining politics with religion in the Old Tibet has helped purify the religion."

The 19-year-old notes the tremendous changes in Tibet since the democratic reform in the region half a century ago.

The Panchen Lama says the Dalai Lama secessionist group has ignored development in Tibet for a long time, attempting to disrupt regional stability and attack the central government's policies towards Tibet. But the Panchen Lama believes facts speak louder than words.

Gyaincain Norbu said, "The secessionist group has attempted to carry out riots and change historical facts in their own interests. People in Tibet know very well in their mind the achievements that the region has made."

The Panchen Lama points out that Tibet is now experiencing its best period in history, and the best time for the promotion of Buddhism.
