The program which has helped Wang is a collaboration between the International Labor Organization and the Sichuan Provincial Labor and Social Security department. Participants are all from the quake zone. The free program helps them identify market opportunities and provides financial support to the most needy.

Sun Bin, Headmaster of Mianzhu Oriental Vocational School of Sichuan, said, "So far, we have trained more than 10 thousand people. All of them are quake victims. We focus on teaching people how to start their own business rather than teaching them skills only. Running a business means they will employ people, and that will help create more job opportunities."

Wang Bo is obviously a successful example. He now has 15 employees, most are quake victims. Wang said for people in the quake hit areas, a job is more important than government subsidies.
