| Family to take part in Spring Festival Gala |

It's a special time of year. And for one four－member family from Guangzhou, Spring Festival will be a particularly special one this year. Instead of enjoying CCTV's annual Spring Festival Gala at home, they will be actually taking part －－ becoming the first ordinary family to perform at the Gala with their very own creation.
Zhao Ming, his wife Mai Weiting and their two children were the winners of a competition which more than 4,000 took part in. Rehearsals are now an everyday part of their lives. Their two children are four and one and a half. For them, the chance to put on their best performance for the hundreds of millions who will be tuning in is something they'll never forget.
A businessman doing music imports and exports in Guangzhou, Zhao Ming and his Taiwan－born wife both share a love of music. They wrote their song based on their own family story, "Let Love Live in our Family" and that's what set them apart from the other contestants.
"We hope that through this song, we could pass our love to every Chinese family," said Mai Weiting.
Getting under the spotlight is by no means easy. Preparations for the Gala are arduous, at times harder than they could have imagined, and the studio has almost become another home. But for them, the most important thing is conveying their best wishes to all Chinese people on such a traditional occasion －－ Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve.
