All of China is getting ready for the Lunar New Year. The Spring Festival Gala presented by CCTV has entered the last phase of preparations. Besides a carefully designed entertainment program, this year's staging and lighting have also taken on a fresh new look.
This year, high technology has been used in the stage design, including hydraulic pressure and traction force system. This technology can make the stage freely go up and down and revolve, and sometimes even "dance" according to the musical tempo. The whole stage is designed to generate an artistic and festival atmosphere.
One feature deserves special mention. For the very first time, a nine－meter high, 30－meter wide water screen will be used. More than 600 lights and a set of advanced laser lights will be used in the lighting design. Lighting technicians will dramatically change each scene to match the program.
