Among holiday revelers, animals are no exception. Whether on exhibition or on stage, animals were among those who got together for Chinese New Year's celebrations during the Spring Festival.

At Nanjing's Mochou Lake Park in eastern China, more than 80 rare dogs from more than 40 species gathered together from some 20 countries for a Chinese New Year exhibition. There were German shepherds, Saint Bernards, and many other breeds. Their appearance made the park bustle with noise and excitement.

In the Nanjing Hongshan Zoo, a series of performances were staged by all kinds of animals. Look at these black bears, they beat drums and gongs to usher in the New Year; and the performance of these three sheep's attracted everyone's attention.

And In Nanjing's Pearl-fountain Wild Animal Zoo, along with their new clothes and a delicious New Year's Eve dinner, some animals' morning and evening training routines were canceled for the sake of an easy and happy New Year.

In an artificial forest in Baiquan county in Heilongjiang Province, some wild animals that have been rarely seen for decades reentered the spotlight once again. Even the gray fox and leopard can't afford to miss such a big holiday.
