The daring and dazzling "giant of magic", David Copperfield, is coming to China for his third tour here. Starting in April at the Beijing Capital Gymnasium, where he will perform eight shows, the American will then travel to four more cities around the country.
Renowned for theatrical stage shows that to combine story－telling, music, special effects and high drama, much is expected of David Copperfield as he prepares for his return to China.
With each new tour, Copperfield has succeeded in executing more and more mind－boggling feats with a live audience watching and without the aid of camera tricks.
Apart from his shows, Copperfield is equally well－known for his television specials that have been broadcast in over 40 countries, reaching an estimated audience of well over three billion people.
Some of these have won Copperfield several coveted Emmys, as well as two "Best Entertainment Celebrity of the Year" awards. He is also the first－ever magician to be honored with his own "star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
His China tour will kick－off in Beijing on Apr.20 and will later include dates in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Changsha.
