Home | China | World | Business China Post Announces Winning Post Card Numbers WED, FEB 27, 2002     China's postal sector announced in Beijing Tuesday the numbers appearing on the prize winning postcards which were among those issued throughout the country fo rthe spring festival. The lucky numbers were announced on China's traditional festival of lanterns, and the owners of the prize winning cards will receive prizes ranging from a postage stamp to 5,000 yuan. The individually numbered new year postcards are issued by the State Post Bureau every year and are a convenient and easy way for people to exchange new year wishes with each other during the festive season. In addition, some cards are specially designed for businesses to help promote their business. This year 220 million new year post cards were issued, of which 130 million were business cards. A senior official says he hopes that China's postal sector in the future will provide more better designed and high quality postcards so as to better meet social demands.
