 CCTV－1 and CCTV－4 will broadcast live the 2003 Spring Festival Gala at 8 pm on January 31 (the Eve of the Lunar New Year). The first rehearsal of the 21st annual celebrations started from January 20.
The Gala will last for four and a half hours when audience at home and abroad are going to feast their eyes on more than 40 programs.
 Popular singers like Peng Liyuan, Song Zuying, Zhang Ye, Liu Huan, Tian Zhen, Lin Yilian, Guo Fucheng, Zhang Baizhi and Mo Hualun will present their talents. Humorous performing artists like Feng Gong, Guo Da, Guo Donglin and Cai Ming will steal the limelight that evening as well.
