A huge new electronics store has opened in Beijing's renowned Zhongguancun science park, better known as China's silicon valley, and the heart of the city's IT industry.
The Dinghao Electronic Store covers 100,000 square meters. Investors from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan invested one billion US dollars to set up the business. The mega store houses IT giants from both China and abroad. It's packed with brand name products, the latest in computer technology, as well as digital and electronic devices.
The building also features dining and recreational facilities to keep shoppers happy. The Investors say Beijing's flourishing IT industry attracted them to Zhongguancun. And they're already talking about pumping another billion dollars into phase two of the project.
