| Filmmakers enter DV dimension |

It's fast, it's furious and it's the way of the future. Digital video （DV） is rapidly becoming the filmmaking format of choice in China, and over the last three months, some of the country's most energetic imagers have shown that they can stretch the technology's boundaries. They have crafted entries for the Brave New Perspective DV Competition.
Since early April, more than 1,000 aspiring DV directors have submitted entries to the competition. The themes of their short video works range across the spectrum.
The event was organized by Beijing TV and the judging panel comprised professionals in filmmaking, digital technology as well as network technology.
Some of the country's big name celebrities were on hand at the recent awards night to not only hand out the gongs but also share their own DV projects with the audience.
Over the past few years, digital products have become more and more popular in China. The technology is adding a DV dimension to Chinese people's lives.
