To mark the 50th birthday of China's automobile industry, a week－long celebration will be centered around a grand auto fair that opens Tuesday.
This fair is expected to be larger and more internationally focused than the previous one. More world－famous auto makers are attending the fair, including Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Volvo and Citroen. Altogether more than 57 Chinese and international car－makers will display their latest models in Changchun.
The exhibition space takes up over 100,000 square meters, 33 percent larger than the previous year's. During the fair, auto shows, seminars, and other activities for visitors will be staged.
