Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman has reviewed the closed door talks between Chinese leaders and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The spokesman Kong Quan said on Monday that Blair spoke highly of China's diplomatic efforts to broker an end to the nuclear issue with DPRK. The leaders of both sides would like to see the nuclear standoff in the Korean Peninsula solved through dialogue.
He also said that Blair and Chinese leaders agreed that the stability and development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is important not only for Hong Kong people but for all of China, the international community and also foreign investors, including those from the United Kingdom.
