| Guangdong braces for Morakot downpours |

According to the Central Meteorological Station, tropical storm Morakot will strike south China's Guangdong Province this afternoon.
On Sunday, the eye of the storm was located at 22.1 degrees north latitude and 121.0 degrees east longitude, with gale－force winds near the epicenter. It also means the center of the tropical storm has moved into Shantou City.
Tropical storm Morakot is moving at a speed of 25 meters per second, with winds at the eye of the storm peaking at whole gale force. Morakot will bring heavy rains to Guangdong today and tomorrow.
