After several months of arduous preparations, CCTV's annual Spring Festival Gala will soon stand the test of hundreds of millions of viewers across China and even abroad.
At Friday's press conference, the show's organizing committee said they all felt that this year's show will mark an overall improvement in both the quality of the entertainment program and its arrangement and stage design.
The 20－year－old gala this year incorporates exciting new elements like audience participation and interactive games between the host and the audience.
Along with big mainland stars, famous singers from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions as well as many rising stars will bring their best wishes to the evening party.
The dazzling gala will be aired on January 31, the Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve. The whole Spring Festival season will be spiced up with colorful programs on CCTV's 12 channels to wish a happy year of the Sheep to Chinese both at home and abroad.
