Architectural design for new CCTV site announced    2003-07-28 18:02:38

CCTV has released the architectural design for its new site through CCTV.com. The plan was provided by bid winner, the Office for Metropolitan Architecture of the Netherlands.

With a 230－meter high major building, the new CCTV site will be a landmark in the heart of the Central Business District in eastern Beijing. The project, which will cost around 600 million US dollars, has a floor space of 550,000 square meters. The floor space will be divided into several construction areas in accordance with the operational requirements and functions of various departments.

The project, which started in March 2003, will be completed in 2008.
